How to Use Precious Metals Pro

Add a Metal — On the Spot Price screen, tap “Add Metal” and choose Silver, Gold, Platinum, or Palladium. Repeat to add more.

Read the Price Cards — Each card shows a large current price, a “Set Price Manually” link, and a green/red arrow showing the change from the last price.

Refresh Prices — Tap the blue Refresh Prices button to pull live prices for all active metals. A green checkmark confirms success.

Set Price Manually — Tap “Set Price Manually” to open the odometer, scroll the wheels to your desired price, and tap Done.

Reorder or Delete a Price Card — Swipe left on a card for blue Reorder and red Delete options.

Use It Offline — Your entire wallet works without internet; use Set Price Manually anytime to update prices by hand.

Toggle Weight Units — Tap the total weight display to switch instantly between troy oz and grams.

Add Silver Coins — e.g., American Silver Eagle: 99.9% purity, 1.0 oz. Morgan Dollar: 90% purity, 0.8594 oz total weight (or 99.9% / 0.7734 oz pure).

Add Gold Coins — e.g., American Gold Buffalo: 99.99% purity, 1.0 oz. American Gold Eagle: 91.67% / 1.0909 oz total weight (or 99.99% / 1.0 oz pure).

Track Silver Jewelry & Scrap — Weigh the item in grams, switch to Grams mode, and enter its purity (sterling = 92.5%, Mexican silver = 95%, coin silver = 90%, European 800 = 80%, fine silver = 99.9%).

Track Gold Jewelry & Scrap — Same process using karat purity (24kt = 99.99%, 22kt = 91.67%, 18kt = 75%, 14kt = 58.33%, 10kt = 41.67%, etc.).

Remove a Metal — Swipe left on a price card and tap Delete. You'll be warned if wallet items exist for that metal.

Add to Your Wallet — Go to My Wallet, tap +, choose a metal, and enter name, purity, weight, and quantity.

Adjust Quantities — Use the stepper or Qty field on any wallet row.

Edit, Delete, or Reorder Wallet Items — Swipe left on any row for blue Reorder, green Edit, and red Delete.

View Totals & Breakdown — Check combined totals in the bottom bar, or tap Breakdown for a per-metal summary with its own unit toggle.

Precious Metals Pro is designed with your privacy first.
What We Collect
All wallet data — the names, purities, weights, quantities, and spot prices for your Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Palladium coins, bars, and rounds — is stored exclusively on your device and is never transmitted anywhere. The app works without any internet connection by default. We do not collect, store, or have access to any of this data.
The Refresh Prices Feature
The only time Precious Metals Pro connects to the internet is when you explicitly tap Refresh Prices, which fetches current spot prices for your active metals from our secure backend. This request contains no personal data, wallet contents, or other app data — only a request for current pricing. As with any internet request, your device's IP address is visible to our server for the duration of that request; we do not use it to identify or track you, and we do not log, retain, or share it.
Third-Party Data Sources
Spot price data returned by Refresh Prices is sourced from metals.dev through our backend. No personal or user data is shared with metals.dev or any other third party.
Data Retention & Deletion
Because all app data lives solely on your device, you're always in control of it:

Delete individual coins, bars, or rounds at any time within the app.

Remove an entire metal — and all wallet items tracked under it — using the Delete option on that metal's spot price card.

Delete all app data at once by uninstalling the app, which removes everything stored locally.

We retain no copy of your data on our servers, so there is nothing for us to delete on our end.
Children's Privacy
Precious Metals Pro does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
