Version 2.0 is the biggest update yet. You can now tap Refresh Price to instantly load the live silver spot price directly from our secure backend feed. The spot price card updates in real time, with a green or red arrow showing exactly how much the spot price has moved since your last refresh. And when you're offline — at a coin show, on a plane, or anywhere else — everything still works exactly as before. Your wallet, your spot prices, your totals. No connection required.

How to Use This App

Use the six odometer-style scroll wheels to set the silver spot price up to $9,999.99. Each wheel controls one digit — thousands, hundreds, tens, ones, ten-cents, and pennies. Scroll up or down on any wheel to change that digit. The price display above the wheels updates instantly.

2. Add to Your Wallet -
Go to My Wallet and tap the + button. Enter the silver coin, bar, or round name, purity percentage, silver content weight, and how many you are adding. Tap Add. -
3. Silver Content Weight — Troy oz Mode -
Enter the pure silver weight in troy oz. Examples: American Silver Eagle = 1.0, Morgan Dollar = 0.7734, Franklin Half Dollar = 0.36169, Pre 1964 Quarters = 0.1808, Mercury Dime = 0.07234. Default is 1.0 troy oz. -
4. Silver Content Weight — Grams Mode -
Switch to Grams mode to enter the total silver content weight in grams. The app divides by 31.1035g (= 1 troy oz) then applies purity to get pure silver troy oz — all wallet totals are always shown in troy oz regardless of which mode you use. Default is 31.1035g = 1 troy oz pure silver. Examples: Morgan Dollar total silver content weight 26.73g at 90% — 26.73 ÷ 31.1035 × 0.90 = 0.7734 troy oz. 1 kilo bar at 99.9% — 1000 ÷ 31.1035 × 0.999 = 32.1507 troy oz. Both match Troy oz mode entry exactly. -
5. Adjust Quantities -
Use the stepper or tap the Qty field on each row in the wallet to adjust quantities at any time. -
6. View Totals -
Total silver weight in troy ounces and total value update instantly at the bottom of the wallet screen. All weights are shown in troy oz — gram entries are automatically converted. -
7. Delete a Coin, Bar or Round -
Swipe left on any row in My Wallet to reveal the Delete button.
Important Considerations
• Value Basis: Calculations are based only on the spot price you enter and the pure silver weight of the coin, bar or round.
• Weight Display: All silver weights are stored and displayed in troy ounces. Gram entries are converted using 31.1035g = 1 troy oz.
• Exclusions: The app does not account for numismatic value, dealer premiums, or assay fees.
• Premiums: Approximate premiums by setting a slightly higher spot price.
• Worn Items: Heavily worn coins, bars or rounds may weigh slightly less than their original spec.

Overview
Silver Stacker Wallet 2.0 is developed by JanEric Arts. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains clearly what data our app does and does not collect. Version 2.0 introduces one optional network connection — a live silver spot price refresh — which is described fully below.
Data We Do Not Collect
Silver Stacker Wallet does not collect, transmit, store, or share any personal data whatsoever. Specifically:
• We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any other identifying information
• We do not collect location data
• We do not collect device identifiers or usage analytics
• We do not use advertising networks or tracking technologies
• We do not use cookies or similar tracking technologies
• We do not share any data with third parties because no personal data is collected in the first place
Data Stored On Your Device
Silver Stacker Wallet stores the following information locally on your device only, using Apple’s standard UserDefaults storage system:
• Your silver spot price setting and previous spot price for change tracking
• Your list of silver coins, bars, and rounds including their names, purity, and weight values
• The quantities you have entered for each item
This data never leaves your device. It is not transmitted to us, to Apple, or to any third party. It exists solely to allow the app to remember your settings between sessions. You can delete this data at any time by deleting the app from your device.
Live Spot Price Refresh — Optional Network Connection
Version 2.0 introduces an optional live silver spot price refresh feature. When you explicitly tap the Refresh Price button, the app makes a single network request to our secure backend at janeric-arts.com to retrieve the current silver spot price. This is the only network connection the app ever makes, and it only happens when you deliberately tap that button.
No personal data is transmitted during this request. The app sends no identifying information, no device data, and no usage information. The request retrieves only a current silver spot price value and returns it to your device. The spot price is then stored locally on your device only.
If you never tap Refresh Price, the app makes no network connections of any kind and operates entirely offline.
Spot Price Data Source
Live silver spot prices are sourced from metals.dev via the JanEric Arts secure backend. No personal data is shared with metals.dev or any other third party as part of this request.
No Internet Connection Required
Silver Stacker Wallet is designed to work fully offline. All wallet tracking, spot price entry via the odometer wheels, calculations, and totals function without any internet connection. The live spot price refresh is an optional convenience feature only.
Children’s Privacy
Silver Stacker Wallet does not collect any data from any users, including children under the age of 13. The app is fully compliant with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) as no personal information is collected from any user.
Third Party Services
Silver Stacker Wallet does not integrate any third party analytics platforms, advertising networks, or social media tools. The only external service used is the JanEric Arts backend spot price feed, which is accessed solely when you tap Refresh Price and transmits no personal data.
Changes to This Policy
If we update this privacy policy, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised date at the top. Any future changes would only occur if the nature of the app or its network usage changes significantly.
